The other three officers present when their colleague (Derek Chauvin) murdered an unarmed black man (George Floyd) for about ten minutes are to face charges.

The Attorney General of Minnesota, Keith Ellison stated “I believe the evidence available to us now supports the stronger charge of second-degree murder”.
The four officers present at the scene have been fired after the death of Mr. Floyd on May 25th, 2020. Three of the officers were not charged immediately. Thomas Lane, J Kueng and Tou Thao will be charged of aiding and abetting, therefore will be charged a second-degree murder.
“I strongly believe that these developments are in the interests of justice for Mr. Floyd, his family, our community and our state,” he added.
