NAPOLI WINS FIRST MAJOR TROPHY IN SIX SEASONS AFTER BEATING JUVENTUS 4-2 IN A PENALTY SHOOTOUT IN THE COPPA ITALIA FINAL.

After a tough goalless draw in 90 minutes at the Stadio Olimpico, Gennaro Gattuso’s side beat Maurizio Sarri’s side by 4-2 in a penalty shootout. Paulo Bruno Exequiel Dybala and Danilo Luiz da Silva missed the first two penalty kicks for Juventus as Lorenzo Insigne and Matteo Politano scored Napoli’s first two penalty kicks.  Juventus vice-captain Leonardo Bonucci stepped up and scored the third penalty to raise their hopes and Nikola Maksimović also scored for Napoli. Welsh midfielder Aaron James Ramsey scored the fourth penalty hoping that Napoli’s Arkadiusz Krystian Milik will miss but unfortunately he scored.  Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso has won his first major trophy as a manager.
