The Former Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah recently snatched ballot papers in parliament during the Speaker of Parliament election. The Tema West Member of Parliament unexpectedly took ballot papers Thursday morning, January 7. He snatched the ballot papers from Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye attempting to ran away with it but he was caught by the Chief Whip of the NDC and MP for Asawase Hon. Muntaka Mubarak.
The Tema West MP has come off to apologize for his actions. He want off to say that: “With this success, they would tell us what they want and what they don’t in parliament because the whip system has been compromised. This is so sad. I’ll die for my party any day… I apologize though to my family and friends both far and near who may be affected by my actions. The NPP in me couldn’t be controlled. I apologize but I tried!!!”
